Former Youngstown State offensive coordinator Shane Montgomery has been named the interim head coach at Massachusetts following the firing of Don Brown.

Montgomery was an assistant with the Penguins from 2010 - 2017.

Montgomery was the former head coach at Miami (Ohio).

Phil Longo, another YSU assistant in 2010 was fired by Wisconsin Sunday.  He was the Badgers offensive coordinator since 2023.
