Walgreens will be closing many of its stores on Thanksgiving Day for the second year in a row.

According to a press release, Walgreens is closing many of its stores nationwide Thursday, November 28 for Thanksgiving to allow its employees to spend time with their families for the holidays.

Additionally, these locations will also be closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

To prepare for the upcoming holiday, customers can place orders online for one-hour deliver or schedule 30-minute in-store pickup until Wednesday, November 27.

Roughly 500 24-hour Walgreens stores and 300 pharmacies within them will remain open in order to meet the healthcare needs of its customers. However, there are no 24-hour stores in the Mahoning Valley with the closest one being in Alliance.

All locations closed on Thanksgiving will reopen for normal hours Friday, November 29.
