A Brookfield mother is facing child endangering charges after police say she left seven kids home alone in deplorable conditions.
According to a report from the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office, deputies investigated a home on the 8100 Block of Addison Road with Brookfield Police Chief Aaron Kesiewicz around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 31.
Investigation of the home revealed seven children between the ages of two and 10 years old left unattended. Police say 29-year-old Brianna Daye, who is the children's mother and aunt left for work at some point in the morning.
According to the report, two of those children belonged to Daye and the other five belonged to her sister. It is unknown whether or not Daye left the kids with an adult when she left for work.
Police say the condition of the home was poor noting spoiled food in the refrigerator and on the floor, human feces on the floor, walls and furniture and broken glass and medicine on the floor.

Trumbull County Children Services removed all the children from the home and Daye is charged with seven counts of endangering children. She is due back in court for a pretrial hearing January 9.
Daye had previously been charged with endangering children in a separate case in Warren back in 2021. Court records show she pled guilty to a reduced charge of attempting to commit an offense in that case.
