A 17-year-old has been taken into custody after allegedly pointing a firearm at an Austintown police officer during a football game Friday night.

Austintown Police Chief Bob Gavalier told 21 News towards the end of the fourth quarter of the game against Warren G Harding High School, there were large crowds from Warren "causing issues."

Gavalier says a 17-year-old boy with a firearm allegedly pointed it at a police officer at the game. No shots were fired, but the teen was taken to JJC on multiple charges. 21 News is working to learn what these charges are.

No one else from the large crowds was arrested.
