In an era where scams and fraud schemes are created to target older adults, the Jewish Family & Community Services and the JCC of Youngstown will host a fraud safety night to educate the community.
On November 19, Mahoning County Prosecutor Gina DeGenova will give a presentation about the types of scams that target older adults. She will explain how to protect oneself from suspected fraud and how to report incidents when they do happen. There will also be other community agencies present with information about services they provide.
The event is free and available for adults age 60 and older. It begins at 5:30 p.m., November 19 at the JJC on Gypsy Lane. Dinner will be provided.
Registration is required to attend. Click here or head to the JCC of Youngstown's website to register.
