Two of the three commissioner’s seats in Mahoning County faced challengers in the General Election.

Long-term Mahoning County Commissioner Anthony Traficanti (D) had his seat challenged by Jennifer Ciccone (R).

Traficanti kept his position with 55,850 votes to Jennifer Ciccone's 50,455 votes.

Traficanti has served four 4-year terms as Commissioner. 

Ciccone was previously a Struthers Municipal Court Judge who lost her position in the 2023 General election. Ciccone was appointed as interim judge filling in for the remainder of Judge Dominic Leone’s term in the same year.
