Cutrona defeats Hume to retain Ohio 33rd District Senate seat
Voters have decided who will represent Ohio's 33rd District in the State Senate.
Republican Al Cutrona has been reelected by a vote of 101,247 to 64,974.
The 33rd District covers Mahoning, Columbiana and Carroll counties.
Cutrona was appointed to the senate to finish the unexpired term of Michael Rulli, who won a special election in June to take over Bill Johnson's seat in Congress when Johnson left Washington to become the president at Youngstown State University.
Cutrona is a practicing attorney and previously served as a state representative for the 58th District and the 59th District.
Hume is also an attorney having served in the Mahoning County Prosecutor's Office and as Youngstown's Law Director.
