Insurance investigators were at the site this weekend of the October 5 explosion that destroyed an Ellsworth Township home, killing four people.

The insurance representatives could be seen on Saturday carrying clipboards inside a fence around the last site.

The Ohio Fire Marshal's Office tells 21 News that they are waiting for a report from the coroner and the insurance company's findings as they continue working to learn what caused the explosion along Huxley Road.

Ellsworth Township Fire Chief Ted Smith says his department finished its investigation and submitted the results to the state fire marshal.  Smith says at this point the cause of the blast is undetermined.

Those who died in the blast were identified as 69-year-old Jeffery Kocanyar, 67-year-old Joann Kocanyar, 33-year-old Julie Lubic and 33-year-old Adam Lubic.

The four were killed in an explosion at a home on the 8500 Block of Huxley Road shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday, October 5. One neighbor told 21 News the blast was so fierce it knocked her to the ground and shattered her windows.
