Pedestrian struck and killed in Youngstown

A pedestrian was killed after they were hit by a car in Youngstown Saturday evening.
According to Youngstown Police, the pedestrian was hit by vehicle in the 2100 block of Poland avenue at around 8:45 p.m. That 47-year-old man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the car was not hurt.
Police and the Mahoning County Coroner's office are still looking into this and are not releasing anymore details at this time.
