A suspect described by Brookfield police as "armed and dangerous" is in custody as of Tuesday afternoon.

According to a post on the Brookfield Police Department's Facebook page, the suspect, identified as Joshua Bryant is in police custody and is expected to be booked in the Trumbull County Jail soon. 

The search for Bryant followed a shooting that happened Wednesday afternoon in Brookfield. 

According to Brookfield Police, a man shot a vehicle five times during a dispute between two people.

It happened on Addison Road around 11 a.m., and no injuries were reported. 

Brookfield police thanked the U.S. Marshal Service and all others who helped them in the search.
