The Ohio State Highway Patrol has released dashcam and bodycam video of an hour-long, high-speed chase that started in Mahoning County and traveled through two other counties.
21 News has edited the thirty-minute video to just under three minutes showing Troopers chasing a GMC pickup truck which they say failed to pull over for a speeding violation along I-76 in Austintown last week.
The video shows the truck swerving through heavy traffic, with speeds as high as 110 miles per hour. At one point the pickup sideswipes a tractor-trailer.
Because of the collision and increasingly heavy traffic, Troopers broke off the chase in Portage County.
Sheriff's Deputies caught up with the truck on Waterloo Road in Portage County leading to a second pursuit.
After the patrol rejoined the chase, Deputies used spiked “stop sticks” to flatten the truck's tires. The truck eventually stopped along Route 532 in Mogadore.
With weapons drawn, Deputies and Troopers ordered the driver and a passenger out of the truck.
Forty-one-year-old Larry Finch was arraigned on charges of failing to comply with a police order, reckless operation, and driving with a suspended license.
Finch is free on a $25,000 bond awaiting another court hearing on Friday.
