A 13-year-old boy from Sandy Lake is facing charges connected to a social media post he allegedly made in September.
According to a release from Pennsylvania State Police, troopers were made aware of the post on September 13. An investigation into the post determined it was false, and there was no true threat.
The boy is charged with terroristic threats for "creating a serious public inconvenience within the school district."
PSP did not clarify what school district this was in reference to. However, 21 News previously reported that Sandy Lake's Lakeview School District canceled classes on September 13, after a student allegedly threatened to bring a weapon to school.
An investigation into that threat determined that it was not credible and students returned to class the following Monday.
