Boscov's offering one-day sale to help raise money for non-profit organizations

Boscov's is officially opening registration for its largest annual fundraising event, Friends Helping Friends. 

During this one-day event, Boscov's is offering its biggest sale of the year with 25% off its lowest sale prices. 

To access this sale, customers can donate $5 to a partnering non-profit organization to receive a Shopping Pass with Boscov's. 

The non-profit organization will keep 100% of the Shopping Pass donation proceeds. 

"We hope to help over 3,000 participating nonprofit organizations raise over $3 million in donations this year," said Jim Boscov, chairman and CEO. 

"It's our most aggressive promotion of the year and we do it to encourage donations to the organizations so critical to the communities we serve," he added.

The one-day sale is scheduled for Tuesday, October 22. Shoppers can visit Boscov's at the Eastwood Mall, and is open from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m., and the Shopping Pass can be used for online shopping.
