Just days after Insight Medical Group was named as the designated operator for two hospitals in Trumbull County, a notice of limited objection was filed by a medical technology company.

According to court records, the limited objection was filed on Wednesday, October 9 by Becton Dickinson & Company and its subsidiary CareFusion Solutions LLC.

Wednesday was the deadline to file any objections to the transfer of ownership of Trumbull Regional Medical Center and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital to Insight.

According to the filing, Becton and its subsidiary had entered a "master agreement" with Steward Healthcare back in 2017, which included CareFusion's leasing of its equipment.

The filing states that Steward has failed to pay them for the use of that equipment and asks that no sale or transfer of ownership takes place until Steward pays what they owe.

"No sale should be finalized and no closing should occur unless and until [Steward pays] for their use of the [Becton] equipment that they propose to transfer to [Insight] under the proposed Sale Order," the filing reads.

Court documents show that Steward owes approximately $11 million for equipment delivered to the hospital under the 2017 master agreement and is delinquent on their payments for their post-petition use of said equipment.

"A total of approximately $1,827,529.86 remains due to BD with respect to the Debtors’ post-petition use of the equipment under the Master Lease," the filing reads.

The filing goes on to state that Becton does not object to the hospitals being sold to Insight, but doesn't want that sale to happen until Steward pays the company in full for the leased equipment.
