SLIDESHOW: Lordstown kindergarteners 'slime' school principal
The class who raised the most at the end of the annual Coin Wars fundraiser was rewarded with one bucket of slime per student to pour over Elementary School Principal Rich Zigarovich.
A kindergarten class from Lordstown Elementary learned the valuable lesson that hard work pays off on Thursday, with a fun twist: slime.
Each year, the Lordstown Local School District holds a Coin Wars fundraiser to raise money for the schools.
Students at the elementary and high school competed to collect spare change from September 30 to October 4. The class with the most change at the end of the collection period was awarded one bucket of slime per student to dump on their respective school's principal.
The kindergarten class reigned supreme, collecting $596.94. In total, Lordstown Elementary collected $2,638.91.
As a reward, the kids got to take a break from the books and pour slime over Elementary School Principal Rich Zigarovich.
