Youngstown State University celebrates Homecoming Weekend

Youngstown State University is the destination for a weekend filled with festivities and tradition as it hosts its annual Homecoming celebration from October 3rd to 6th. The event will feature a variety of activities for students, alumni, and the community.

The weekend kicks off with a Fall Fire Fest on Thursday evening, featuring live music, a pep rally, food trucks, and a bonfire. On Friday, students can participate in a Red and White Day Carnival and build their own stuffed penguins. A Silent Disco will also be held that evening.

Saturday is the highlight of the weekend, with the Homecoming Parade taking place at noon. The day culminates with the YSU Homecoming Football Game against Indiana State University, where the Homecoming Royalty will be crowned during halftime.

Additional events throughout the weekend include a Scavenger Hunt, a Kids Can't Wait Cornhole Competition and a Half Century Celebration for alumni.
