A 53-year-old Mercer County man is jailed on $100,000 bond after police arrested him for what they say was a three-year sexual relationship that began with a girl when she was 12 years old.

A criminal complaint filed by the Pennsylvania State Police recounts information from the alleged victim who said she was left at the Jamestown home of her mother’s then-boyfriend, Jason Stamp.

The girl, now 18 years old, told investigators that when she was 12, Stamp would invite her into his bedroom to talk, which led to her sleeping in his bed and eventually having sex with each other.

The teen told police that Stamp would buy her outfits and watch her try them on.  She alleges that he bought her swimsuits and had her wear them around the house.

The complaint says Stamp bought the girl alcohol and drugs, including cocaine, around two hundred times during the three years she lived with him, frequently sharing the drugs.

Police first learned about the situation three years ago from classmates at school.  But police say at the time, the alleged victim was “very protective” of Stamp during an interview.

It wasn’t until recently that the teen admitted to an interviewer that she estimated that the sexual acts occurred at least three times a week, sometimes more often, from the age of twelve up until she was fifteen years old when Children and Youth Services removed her from Stamp’s custody.

According to the complaint, the girl said she now understands that Stamp should not have done these things, and agreed to cooperate with the criminal investigation saying, “Yeah, I’m ready. I let him go. I can’t, I can’t protect him anymore.”

Stamp was arraigned Monday on eight charges including rape, deviate sexual intercourse with a child, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault on a child less than 13 and less than 16, and corruption of minors.

A preliminary hearing in the case is set for October 15.
