Power restored for majority of customers in Lowellville, Poland

Ohio Edison has restored power to nearly 350 homes and businesses in Lowellville and Poland.
Electricity went out early Wednesday, forcing the Lowellville School District to shut down for the day. According to the district’s Facebook page, the bus for MCCTC students will operate as normal.
The First Energy website listed 244 outages in Lowellville around 5:30 a.m., leaving one-third of the community in the dark.
Poland had 99 outages.
As of 8:30 a.m., Poland does not have any outages. Meanwhile in Lowellville, power has been restored for almost all customers, but one outage is still reported in the village.
This lone outage is expected to be restored by 9:30 a.m.
A FirstEnergy representative told 21 News that the outage was caused by a "lockout", which the spokesperson said is similar to a circuit breaker preventing damage to a home from excessive current.
