Struthers man sentenced to 18 months in prison for stealing $13,000 worth of postage stamps
37-year-old Michael Mele was handed a sentence of 18 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release on a charge of theft of government property.

A Struthers man who stole $13,000 worth of postage stamps has learned his fate on Tuesday.
According to federal court records, 37-year-old Michael Mele was handed a sentence of 18 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release on a charge of theft of government property.
He also must pay $33,598.56 in restitution to the U.S. Postal Service.
Mele has a long criminal history in the Valley dating all the way back to 2006.
He's been convicted of 10 crimes in the Valley including cocaine possession, credit card misuse, passing bad checks, forgery, receiving stolen property, theft and grand theft.
