A Youngstown man who is accused of assaulting and beating a pregnant nurse at Trumbull Regional Medical Center has been indicted by a grand jury.

According to a Trumbull County grand jury report, 35-year-old Roge Berger has been indicted on charges of aggravated robbery and felonious assault on Wednesday.

The charges stem from an incident at Trumbull Regional Medical Center earlier in September where the nurse, who was nearing her baby's due date, was sitting in her car doing an assignment for school after her shift.

Police say Berger "ripped" the car door open and slammed her into the vehicle followed by grabbing her by the hair and punching her in the face over 20 times. He was later arrested by police.

It took the Warren Municipal Court six attempts to arraign Berger with court employees telling us he wouldn't come out of his jail cell.

Court records do not yet show a date for Berger to be arraigned in the Common Pleas Court.
