One inmate is in stable condition after police say he was stabbed in a Youngstown prison Tuesday afternoon.
According to a police report from YPD, police were called to CoreCivic on Hubbard Road shortly after 4 p.m. for a stabbing.
A correctional counselor told police that the inmate was bleeding from the upper torso and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
According to the report, the inmate had two stab wounds to the upper torso and one on the right side of his chest.
Police were not able to find any weapons and there is no word on any suspects at this time.
