Phillips responds to Pitt putting 73 on Penguins Saturday
The question continues to linger if Pitt football coach Pat Narduzzi ran the score up on the former team his dad coached at for over a decade.
The Panthers scored 73 points against the Penguins something Narduzzi said was personal and asked his team "to get one for my dad."
Narduzzi even dressed similar to his father, with a short sleeve white shirt and tie.
21 Sports has coached Phillips at his weekly press conference if he felt the Panthers ran the score up.
"I feel in the game of football if they can score 73 on you, score 73 on you. But as a father, I hope I'm teaching Lincoln (Phillips son)as a head football coach, with my kids I hope I'm teaching them disappointments are going to happen in life , they're going to face adversity in life, and I certainly wouldn't want them to be angry for 39 years. If that made someone feel better good for him"
