Youngstown Police searching for 15-year-old girl missing since September 12
Police in Youngstown are searching for a girl who was reported missing last week.
According to a police report, Police are searching for 15-year-old Richae Vaughn. She was reported missing by her mother just after 11 p.m. Thursday, September 12.
Police say due to issues at school, Vaughn's mother took her phone and sent her to her room at around 2:30 p.m. that day.
About two hours later, police say Vaughn was not in her room with her mother telling officers she "tore the house apart" looking for her.
Vaughn's mother did not know if she left with her shoes, but she did tell police she was last seen wearing black leggings, a white shirt and a black jacket. She went on to tell police she left without a key to the house.
Police say Vaughn's mother did not know the addresses of any of her friends.
A family member of Vaughn's tells 21 News she is approximately 5'6'' tall and weighs about 120 pounds. The family member says she was last seen by her school principal on Youngstown's west side around 3 p.m. Thursday.
