Ohio Edison is blaming broken insulators for an outage that left 5,500 Austintown Township homes and businesses without power on Monday.
The electricity went out Monday afternoon and wasn't restored until later that night.
The outages were north of Kirk Road up to Interstate 80/76, west of Turner Road, and as far east as S. Raccoon Road.
The utility tells 21 News that repairs are still being made.
Austintown City Schools canceled Monday night's volleyball game against Mineral Ridge because of the outage.
