Police: Driver cited for OVI after saying he's sorry for crashing into Youngstown home
Police say Green’s blood alcohol level was .205.
A man who told police he’d been drinking at a relative’s home while watching a Sunday football game, said he was sorry for crashing his pickup truck into the front porch of a home on Youngstown’s Southside.
That’s according to the report filed after 69-year-old Dennis Green was arrested on charges of OVI and failure to maintain control of his vehicle.
The Dodge pickup truck veered off West Dewey Avenue just east of Hillman Street Sunday evening, running over the lawn and into the front of a home.
Police say Green admitted that he had been drinking and apologized, saying he didn’t mean to crash.
After failing to complete a field sobriety test, Police say Green’s blood alcohol level was .205, above the limit for being considered intoxicated.
