Crews with the Youngstown Water Department have their hands full with two water main breaks being reported in different parts of the city.

Youngstown Water Department Superintendent of Construction Joe Guerrieri tells 21 News crews have been working on a water main break on Woodland Avenue since around 5:30 a.m.

Meanwhile, a separate main break was reported on Glenmere Drive. Guerrieri tells 21 News crews were unable to respond to this break due to being occupied on Woodland.

Guerrieri did not have an exact time frame for when the Glenmere break started, but one witness tells 21 News they had seen water gushing down the street since at least 7 a.m. Sunday.

Guerrieri says a separate crew has been dispatched to get started on Glenmere while awaiting the Woodland crew to take over. Guerrieri does not believe the two breaks to be connected.

Our 21 News crew checked out both scenes. The Woodland scene appears to be under control with crews gearing up to take care of Glenmere.

21 News is working to learn more information on what caused these main breaks. Stay connected online and on air for the latest updates.
