Coroner identifies 4-wheel rider killed in Poland crash
Authorities have identified the man who went missing while off-roading in eastern Poland Township and was later found dead.
The 45-year-old man, identified as Christopher Frangos by the Mahoning County Coroner's Office, was reported missing around midnight by others riding 4-wheel vehicles on trails.
The coroner's office pronounced Frangos dead on scene. No foul play is suspected, but an autopsy is scheduled, according to the office.
The Mahoning County Sheriff used a drone equipped with an infrared camera and the Ohio State Highway Patrol also sent up a helicopter to search the woods around Kennedy Road.
Fellow riders told police that the missing man was familiar with the terrain.
The Sherriff’s department says they could not find the missing man when the search was suspended at around 2 a.m.
The investigation is still ongoing between the Mahoning County Coroner's Office and The Poland Township Police Department.
