Police in Warren are investigating after traces of cocaine were found in the system of a seven-month-old girl.

According to a police report, the incident happened Thursday morning. Police say the baby's father dropped her off at his mother's house the night before and picked her up around 30 minutes later.

Police say the baby began quivering on the drive home to the point it looked like she was experiencing body tremors. Police say the baby was rubbing her nose and mouth repeatedly during this time.

The baby was taken to the hospital for treatment where nurses found traces of cocaine in her system. The baby's father told police his mother is a recovering drug addict and has a history of drug-related encounters with police.

The father went on to tell police his mother's neighbor was over the house while the baby was staying over. Both the mother and neighbor were named suspects, but both names are redacted in the police report.

The police report does not indicate that any arrests have been made or that any charges have been filed yet.
