A bus tour will be spotlighting revitalization and economic development efforts on the south side of Youngstown on Saturday.

The Youngstown Renaissance Bus Tour will take riders on a seven-stop tour of the city's south side Saturday, September 14 from 8 a.m. to noon.

The event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased for $10 at Glenwood Grounds Coffee House or by contacting Vicki Vicars at 330-717-8953.

"The south side is filled with incredible people, thriving non-profits, healthy businesses and faith-filled church communities. This is what this tour is about. Come meet positive people and visit institutions that are pouring hope and renewal into this community," Vicars said.

Participants will meet at South High School on Market Street to begin the tour. From there, the bus will take them to six more stops including:

- The Oak Hill Collaborative

- St. Patrick Church

- The Ford Nature Center

- The Youngstown Playhouse

- Bernard Street Development

- Glenwood Grounds Coffee House

The motor coach bus will accommodate up to 80 participants. Tour guides and site hosts will provide information about the interconnected visions for revitalization, economic development and community engagement.

All participants will get a free coffee and muffin at the Glenwood Grounds Coffee House stop.
