The Trumbull County Historical Society (TCHS) will be hosting Oktoberfest on the Square in Courthouse Square in downtown Warren on Saturday, September 14.

The event will take place from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will feature 24 local businesses along with seven Ohio breweries like Modern Methods, Paladin, Noble Creature, The 1547 Project, Birdfish, Dope and Biker Brewhouse.

This is the 9th annual event for the Historical Society. TCHS Director Meghan Reed says the event has changed and gotten bigger over the years, but one thing that has stayed the same over the years is how much fun the event is.

"Whether it's the grape stomping competition, pony rides or the stein hoist, this event is about supporting the local community and enjoying the company of friends and family," Reed said.

Food this year will be provided by West and Main, as well as Babcia's Lunchbox. Ice cream will be provided by the Cockeye Creamery.

Activities will consist of the annual grape stomping competition, a junior grape stomping game, the tapping of the keg, a 50/50 raffle, pony rides, face painting and live music courtesy of the Youngstown Saxon Brass Band.

Presale tickets are available for $30 until the day of the event. Tickets are $35 for folks age 21 and over when purchased at the door. For guests age 12 to 20, tickets are $15 and kids under 12 are free.

Ticket holders are entitled to a free German-inspired meal and two drink tickets.
