The Mahoning County Dog Warden is asking for the community's help on Friday.

A post on the Dog Warden's Facebook page says the facility is over capacity with 77 dogs — most large dogs — currently in the facility's care and have three dogs sitting in the facility's police kennel.

The post states there are no open cages for intake.

The post concludes with, "We need help."

Anyone interested in helping should contact the dog warden's office at 330-740-2205 to set up a meet and greet with dogs, which the facility says it can be flexible on hours depending on your needs, asked for people to share the post on social media and to consider fostering a dog. Anyone interested in fostering can reach out to any local rescue for information.
