A new grocery store is ready to open its doors in two weeks in Canfield Township.

ALDI at 4165 Westford Place will open to the public on Thursday, September 19, at 8:30 am.

The first 100 customers in line will receive a gift bag with a sampling of ALDI shopper favorite products and a gift card, part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers to the new store between September 19 and September 22 can also enter a sweepstakes to win a $500 ALDI gift card.

Regular store hours will be daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

According to the press release, the Canfield store will offer fresh, organic produce delivered daily, a wide selection of cheese and wine, and gluten-free, plant-based offerings.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster, and easier,” said Corey Stucker, Hinckley vice president for ALDI. “We’re excited to open our first ALDI store in Canfield and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”?

ALDI will also donate $1,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning Valley. According to the press release, this donation is part of our commitment to donating $150,000 to Feeding America and its affiliates to help eliminate hunger in local communities. ALDI has also stated it will work with Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning Valley to make sure excess grocery items are delivered to the local community through the Feeding America Network. In the last year, ALDI donated 33 million pounds of food to Feeding America partners across the US.

No date has been set yet for when the new ALDI Poland location is expected to be open.
