Three-day Columbiana Street Fair gets underway
The people of Columbiana are welcoming visitors from all around for the next three days as they host the 137th celebration known as the Columbiana Street Fair.
The event that begins on Thursday and runs through Saturday, September 5,6, and 7 along Main Street includes entertainment, rides, games, food, vendors, drawings, and a parade.
The street fair gets underway at 5 p.m. Thursday followed by the Fireman’s Parade stepping off at 6:30 p.m. from the Firestone Pool entrance of the park led by the American Legion Post 290 Color Guard and followed by floats, organizations, antique cars, tractors, and marching bands.
The parade will make its way West on Park Ave through the circle and North on Main St toward Salem Street.
The local American Legion is keeping a tradition by enlisting volunteers to host a noon lunch on Friday for more than 100 special needs children for a private preview of the fair which includes unlimited rides at no charge.
Fair Hours:
- Thursday 5 pm – 10 pm
- Friday 5 pm -11 pm
- Saturday Noon – 11 pm
Ride passes are available at Kissel Amusements Ticket Box located next to PNC Bank.
Sons of the American Legion Bingo will be played each day of the fair.
Parking
Shuttle parking is available on Friday and Saturday. Signs will be posted when free shuttles are available to take fairgoers from the park to the midway.
