The Mahoning County OVI Task Force has revealed the location for an OVI checkpoint in Mahoning County during the night of Friday, September 6.
The checkpoint will be held on Mahoning Avenue near Halls Heights Avenue between 10:00 p.m. and midnight Friday night.
The checkpoint will be accompanied by saturation patrols throughout Mahoning County during the weekend in order to keep impaired drivers off the road.
A 1990 Supreme Court ruling said holding sobriety checkpoints without first notifying drivers would violate the Constitution's provision barring illegal search and seizure.
