Ohio-based Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Bernie Moreno paid a visit to the Mahoning County Republican Party tent at the Canfield Fair Monday afternoon.

During his visit, 21 News caught up with Moreno and asked him whether or not he would be willing to debate his opponent, incumbent Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown.

Moreno responded saying he would debate the senator "anytime, anyplace, anywhere" and went on to accuse Senator Brown of being "too afraid" to debate him.

"[Brown] won't debate me because he's too afraid to have to stand up for his record," Moreno said.

However, Brown was recently quoted by Cincinnati NBC affiliate WLWT saying he is absolutely willing to debate Moreno.

"Absolutely. I've debated I think every time I've ever run for office. I'm fine with debating. I hope we schedule something," Brown said.

We also asked Moreno about Former President and Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump's position on free IVF treatment for women and he told us he supports it.

"We have to make certain that we do whatever we can to increase our birthrate. Instead of actually doing that, we are encouraging tens of millions of illegals to come to this country. We've got to advocate for America and American citizens," Moreno said.
