A two-car crash in Trumbull County left a man dead Saturday evening.

According to the release, a Chevrolet Impala was driving northbound on State Route 534 in Braceville Township around 7:05 p.m. when it drove left of center and sideswiped a Lexus sedan.

The Impala redirected and drove off the right side of the road before flipping over multiple times.

The driver of the Impala, 35-year-old Mark Hillier of Newton Falls, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car. The driver of the Lexus was wearing a seatbelt and didn't report any injuries.

State Troopers are still investigating the crash but say speed was likely a factor.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol urges drivers always to wear their seatbelts. Over the 2023 Labor Day holiday weekend, there were 11 traffic deaths and 10 of them were not wearing their seatbelts.
