A Liverpool Township man will soon spend time behind bars for the murder and dismemberment of his wife.

Christopher Morrison, 35, plead guilty in the case. He was originally charged with aggravated murder and murder and gross abuse of a corpse while possessing criminal tools.

He was also charged with tampering with evidence and two three-year firearm specifications for allegedly using a gun. 

Morrison murdered and hid his wife, Tiffany Morrison, in a shed in the backyard of a home on Shadyside Avenue

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office determined Tiffany Morrison died from a single gunshot wound.

A police report detailed that Christopher Morrison allegedly confessed to a close friend that he had murdered his wife and hid her body in the shed.

Officers said the two had been dealing with marital problems.

Morrison will be sentenced on Sept. 17, according to court records.
