The Mahoning Valley Community School (MVCS) has partnered with Community Bus Services Inc. to provide busing to all students enrolled for the 2024-2025 school year.

According to the release, MVCS is an Ohio public community school sponsored by the Office of School Scholarship at the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. It provides education to students with a focus on intensive credit recovery and industry credentials to help students enter the workforce.

The school opened its new community learning center in June and students begin classes on September 4. They are still taking enrollments.

"Safe and reliable transportation is a critical component to ensuring access to a quality education for our students," MVCS superintendent Jennifer Merritt said. "It was something that we were determined to offer to our students and their families. We believe this opportunity will significantly improve attendance and remove barriers to education in order to allow our students to be successful."
