Police chase ends with motorcycle crash in Liberty

A motorcyclist is in the hospital after police say led them on a pursuit through Liberty early Thursday

Township Police began chasing the motorcycle west on Interstate 80 at around midnight.

Officers broke off the chase after the motorcycle exited I-80 and went north on State Route 11.

It wasn’t long after police learned that the motorcycle crashed at the exit ramp to Tibbets Wick Road.  The driver was taken to Mercy Hospital in Youngstown.

State Troopers, who are investigating the accident, say the injuries are not life-threatening.
