Theft case against Grove City flooring business owner sent to trial court
Police say Roth received payments of $2,814 and $1,961 from the victims and didn't follow through on the work.
The owner of a Grove City flooring business has been arrested after being accused of taking money from several customers and not doing the work she was hired for.
Ashley Roth, 30, is accused of taking thousands of dollars from victims who hired her to do their floors. Roth is charged under the state law making it illegal to receive advance payment for a service and failing to perform that service.
Police say Roth received payments of $2,814 and $1,961 from the victims and didn't follow through on the work.
The alleged incidents occurred in both New Castle and Grove City.
Her business, AEY Plus Flooring and Remodeling, has an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau. The business also goes by the name Black Dolphin in Grove City.
