Bond continued for Youngstown man accused in east side homicide
Bond is continued for a Youngstown man accused in a homicide on the city's east side back in June of 2024.
Twenty-two-year-old Samuel Perez was arraigned in the Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on charges of aggravated murder, murder, aggravated robbery and possession of cocaine.
He pled not guilty to all of these charges.
The murder and robbery charges stem from the shooting death of 22-year-old Angel Sostre on 600 McBride Street back in June.
The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m., but Sostre's body was not found until around 5:30 a.m. at behind a row of apartments.
Perez was arrested in July on the cocaine charges and following an interrogation, a review of evidence and consultation with a prosecutor, the murder and robbery charges were filed.
Perez's bond was continued at $1 million and he is due back in court September 23.
