It didn't take long for some of those new planters lined along downtown roads to be destroyed.

One whole side was damaged and there was soil scattered on the sidewalk on East Rayen Avenue, near The Loft.

The planters were put up just in the last few weeks. They are meant to protect bikers that may use that road to travel.

However, many folks are criticizing them because they are black, which means they blend in at night - making them hard to see.

There's no word on who is responsible for the damage.
