An accident involving a truck and horse trailer at State Route 534 and State Route 14 in Goshen Township on Friday afternoon knocked down an electric pole and heavily damaged a building owned by Stratton Chevrolet.
The truck hauling the horse trailer crashed into the building in the northwest section of the intersection.
The accident occurred around 12:30 pm Friday.
The woman driving the truck and horse trailer told 21 News that a flatbed truck traveling north on state Route 534 failed to yield at the stop sign, hitting the truck and causing it to hit a utility pole and crash into a building owned by Stratton Chevrolet. The truck was hauling one horse, which did not have any serious injuries.
The man driving the flatbed truck was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Goshen Township Police, Damascus Fire Department, Ohio State High Patrol, and Ohio Edison responded to the accident.
Friday's crash is the 9th accident at State Route 534 and State Route 14 within the past five years. Just a half mile away, eight crashes have occurred at State Route 165 and State Route 14 in the past five years.
OSP is investigating the accident.
