Howland Fire Department offering free carbon monoxide alarms to residents
To get your free alarm, all you have to do is go to the Howland Fire Station at 169 Niles Cortland Road NE during normal business hours and provide your ID for proof of residency.
Folks in Howland looking to get a new carbon monoxide alarm for their home have the opportunity to get one for free from the Howland Fire Department.
According to a post on the Howland Fire Department's Facebook page, the alarms were obtained by the department through a donation from The Home Depot.
To get your free alarm, all you have to do is go to the Howland Fire Station at 169 Niles Cortland Road NE during normal business hours and provide your ID for proof of residency.
If you can't make it during normal business hours, you can call 330-856-5022 to arrange a pickup time.
Each household is limited to one alarm.
