Fans of burgers, hot dogs and everything in between will soon have a new, but familiar spot to check out in North Lima.
21 News confirmed with owners that Jim's Roadhouse Burgers & Beef will be opening a brand-new location in North Lima on Market Street where Jay's Famous Hot Dogs used to be.
Owner Jim Kachelries told 21 News the Roadhouse has roots in North Lima originally opening there in 1992 before expanding into the East Palestine area in 1995.
The second location remained in East Palestine for 17 years before a fire caused it to relocate to New Middletown. The Roadhouse later returned to East Palestine, where it's been operating for the past six years.
Kachelries tells 21 News the Roadhouse is now on its way back to North Lima and he hopes to have doors open by the first week of September.
Once open, the Roadhouse will offer smash burgers, all-beef hot dogs, Philly cheesesteaks, roast beef sandwiches and chicken sandwiches. All of these come with a side of either, fries, beer battered onion straws, pretzel bites or breaded pickle chips.
Kachelries says the beef for the burgers will be made locally and come from the Youngstown Cattle Company.
Hours of operation will be 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays. The restaurant will be closed on Sundays.
