Boardman is making strides to ensure it remains a desirable place to live in the Valley.

The township's development strategy, is bringing significant changes to attract young families and retirees.

"We want to make sure that we build on what we have as a community, and then offer new families to retirees, places that they have [where ]they can stay, live, work, and enjoy the community." Township Administrator, Jason Loree said.

The townships newest row of townhouse's called Enclave At Boardman on South Avenue come with a modern backdrop with a price tag starting around $250,000, potentially attracting younger families and professionals.

"Any other city that you go to, they have a ton of [townhouses]. They're always being constructed. So I think that once we get these ones occupied, there's going to be way more coming to this area. And I don't think we're gonna have a hard time selling them whatsoever." Howard Hanna realtor, Leslie Daniels said.

Loree said their development strategy aims to keep people in the township while maintaining the recreational amenities, education, and jobs.

He said having a mixture of living spaces, like the soon-to-be apartment complex for people over 55 years old on South Avenue, will allow people to easily transition throughout their life without moving to another city.
