SLIDESHOW: Wellness center in Cortland revolutionizes health and well-being
A new wellness center is offering a variety of treatments and services aimed at keeping people in top form.
Each room inside the family-owned Integrated Wellness Center located in Cortland offers unique therapies to restore the mind and body.
The cryotherapy chamber, a treatment often used by athletes, plunges people into freezing temperatures to stimulate blood circulation and reduce inflammation.
For mental fitness, the BrainTap system uses light and sound to enhance brain function while promoting relaxation.
The owners, Joe and Becky Liguori say the center's Red light therapy bed can help in more ways than one.
"It helps anywhere from skin and anti-aging and collagen boost to soft tissue or bone inflammation and pain," Liguori tells 21 News.
From compression therapy, which reduces muscle soreness and prevents swelling, to the sauna dome that helps with weight loss, the owners say they have confidence in each treatment they offer.
"We've done a lot of research, and [not only] just a lot of research on the benefits and the studies of everything, but the right equipment as well. And we use it ourselves, so we feel the benefits." Liguori says.
The price for Crytotherapy, compression and Red Light therapy, and the Sauna Dome starts at $39 per session.
