Showers and storms possible Tuesday PM
There is higher confidence in strong showers and thunderstorms developing Tuesday afternoon compared to Monday. The first half of the day will be quiet, with warm and muggy conditions continuing. High temperatures will peak in the low to mid-80s.
A wave of low pressure sliding along a stationary front will bring the chance for rain this afternoon and evening. It will be important to stay weather aware as storms will be most possible during the evening commute. Some storms will turn severe with high winds, hail, and an isolated tornado all on the table.
The strongest storms will come to an end by sunset, and scattered showers will continue through midnight. A stray shower cannot be ruled out early Wednesday as well, but most of the day will remain dry.
Wednesday will be a more comfortable day with decreasing humidity and temperatures in the upper 70s. Humidity and cloud cover will build back in for Thursday and Friday as the remnants of Hurricane Debby move to our southeast.
A shower or two cannot be completely ruled out Friday afternoon and evening before a dry and pleasant weekend forecast.
