Mercer County Follies show raises money for people with disabilities
The Mercer County Follies used their talents to raise money for a good cause Sunday afternoon.
The Mercer County Senior Follies had been belting it out for 18 years at their show at Hickory High School in Hermitage. But this year, they've re-branded as The Mercer County Follies to include talent of all ages.
The show now includes rock, disco, country and comedy acts.
It all benefits the The ARC of Mercer County, which helps people with developmental disabilities.
The Mercer County Follies Board of Director Lynn Saternow says working together as a community is even better than the music and performances in the show.
"What a joy it is, to work with all these people, we hope that next year more people will come out and join our cast and crew," said Saternow.
This is the 19th year of the show, which took a brief hiatus in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.
