People who live in rural Trumbull county now have access to some health care thanks to the opening of a new health care center in Kinsman.

David Blech is a nurse practitioner who most recently worked at the Cleveland Clinic.

He just opened a new health center in Kinsman.
He says it's something he's been wanting to do for year because he sees a need for health care in the rural areas of northeast Ohio.

While a medical doctor will be in the center to assist him each week, Blech says, he himself can treat many ailments.

"We can provide anything from internal medicine, chronic disease management. We have wound care here. We are going to be doing pain management with cortisone shots," said Blech.

The regional chamber of commerce says it's businesses like this that help people in our area who need it the most and they help our valley grow.

"These are the things that make the quality of life in our community more special and more attractive in getting people to move here," said

Mr. Blech says he is also experienced in helping people tackle an every growing problem in our region.

"I'm very well-versed in behavioral health management. We are going to be working with area hospitals for vivitrol for the community people effected by opioid addiction," said Blech.

He says the center will accept Medicaid and Medicare for treatments as well as insurance and they will offer a sliding scale fee for those who are underinsured.
